Adrienne Arsht Center 30 Miami-based performing artists will each be awarded $1,000 to create new works of dance, music, theater, spoken word and other performing arts that capture our community’s unique voice and experience during this unprecedented crisis. Deadline August 21st.

Artists Create. We Collect. Girls' Club introduces a new initiative to sustain creative lives and introduce works by local artists to the public. We are reaching out to our network of artists and seeking submissions of recent artwork for consideration. Works should be made this year, in 2020, and have a retail price of $500-$1000.

Awesome Foundation -Artists based in the US. Ongoing program.

NEW!!! Bass Museum of Art 'New Monuments' is an initiative presented by The Bass Museum of Art, by adding a fifth plinth to Collins Park and calling for artists to propose a temporary new monument. Deadline September 1st.

Betancourt Latorre Foundation up to $1,000 grant for artists based in Miami-Dade County Florida and Puerto Rico. Deadline May 29th.

III Points and ICA Miami providing $50-$300 grants.

NEW!!! Knight Foundation NEW WORKS will invest up to $500,000 in artists and performing arts organizations to develop and create Miami-made performances in 2021. Deadline September 7th.

National Grants, Prizes and Resources

NEWEST! Center for Craft One time grants $5,000 unrestricted dollars to craft based education that seed resilience, foster community and amplify impact. Deadline October 1st.

Through year end!!! Redbull $1,000 Microgrants in Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Hudson Valley, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New Orleans, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Providence, San Antonio, and St. Louis. Applications open July 22nd and will be available through year end.

Artists Relief will distribute $5,000 grants for artists facing dire financial emergencies due to CIVD-19. 

Art at a Time Like This and Save Art Space have an open call for artists submissions for public billboards in NYC. Submit your application here.

Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund awards between $500-$5000.

Anonymous Was a Woman -$2,500 for female artists over 40 years of age.

Adolph and Esther Gottlieb -Mature artists with 10 years experience working in painting, sculpture, and print making.

Artadia -NYC currently open. Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston soon to follow.

Artists Leaders of Color Emergency Fund which folks can donate directly to in support of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists AND administrators (consultants, facilitators, box office staff, seasonal/temporary employees, etc.) who have been financially impacted due to COVID-19.

Artists Relief Project

Bennett Prizes -Women figurative realist painters have until October 16 to enter to win $50,000 and a traveling solo exhibition of their work.

Bloom Fund -Artists based in the US for projects that will have a social impact.

cerf+ -Funding currently limited to those with COVID-19.

Cintas Foundation -Cuban citizens and artists of direct Cuban descent. May deadline has passed but keep in mind for future.

Freelancers Relief Fund -Up to $1,000 for freelancers that can show loss of income.

Foundwork Art Prize The honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and studio visits with this year’s distinguished jurors: Natasha Ginwala, Kalup Linzy, Anat Ebgi, Humberto Moro, Rachel Adams, and Michael Ruiz. Deadline October 15th.

Foundation for Contemporary Arts -$1,000 grants to artists who have had performances or exhibitions canceled or postponed because of the COVID-19 virus.

Harvard University Fellows are in residence from September 2021–May 2022 and receive full-time Harvard appointments as visiting fellows, office or studio space, a stipend of $78,000, and an additional $5,000 to cover project expenses. Deadline September 10th.

Harpo Foundation -Artists based in the US. May 1 deadline has passed but keep in mind for 2021.

Joan Mitchell Foundation -Artists living in US State or Territory primarily working in painting, sculpture or drawing.

Kinkade Family Foundation -Curators in the United State with projects in 2020.

Nathan Cummings U.S.-based individuals with an inspired idea to advance social justice are invited to apply for a Nathan Cummings fellowship. Fellows will receive up to $150,000 and hands-on training, resources, and leadership development to scale the impact of their work. Deadline Sept. 1.

NINE dot ARTS -$250 grant for a work of art that can be reasonably displayed saying “Everything is going to be okay.” in any language.

West Collection -One artists will be chose each week for a $5,000 unrestricted grant and $5,000 to purchase an artwork.

Women’s Center for Creative Work -$1,000 grants for artists who are immunocompromised, disabled, chronically ill, undocumented, caregivers, or food or housing insecure

Burke Prize -$50,000 A contemporary art prize for a new generation of artists working in a world of expanded media with a foundation in glass, fiber, clay, metal, or wood. Application deadline Sunday, May 31st

Creative Time Emerging Artists Open Call

Queens Museum seeks applications from visual artists in NYC for its Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship 2021-2022.

Studio Museum Residency -For visual artists of African and Afro-Latinx descent. Applications close May 1st.
