The Black Collective -Centering the experiences of the African diaspora, the Black Collective is an organization committed to promoting a shared agenda to elevate political consciousness and amplify the economic power of Black communities.

Circle of Brotherhood -Is an organization of primarily Black men from all walks of life dedicated to community service, economic development, crime prevention, conflict resolution and mediation, educational services, and youth mentorship. Members of the Circle have dedicated their lives to collectively solving the social ills of our community.

Community Justice Project – Is a community of lawyers dedicated to support organizing for racial justice and human rights.

Dream Defenders Miami – One of the main organizations behind the peaceful protests, you can become a member and be involved 365 days a year.

Family Action Network -Strengthens families through the empowerment of women.

Fanm Saj -Provide families across the African Diaspora with cultural and wellness tools as well as social and political resources to nourish themselves, families and communities. 

(F)EMPOWER Miami – These queer culture shifters are among the loudest voices advocating for community bailout funds among many other things.

Maven Leadership Collective -Consistently invests in creative social impact leaders who are queer and trans people of color and allies to build communities that thrive even in the face of crisis, transition, and tragedy.

Miami Workers Center – Help our community’s most oppressed citizens by giving them access to long-term job opportunities.

Poetry for the People – From the same team behind the above two platforms, This project tackles state violence by providing space where those who find themselves silenced, stripped of their voice or ignored can reclaim their narratives in poetry.

PowerU Center for Social Change – This powerful political and education resources tackles some of the most divisive issues in our country and our community by giving voices to the most marginalized.

QuietRiot2020 – Divest in the economy that overlooks and overworks low-income households by participating in this “quiet riot” every Thursday in the month of June.

Smoke Signals – This Little Haiti studio has been a huge platform for POC voices in our communities and are sharing a call for creatives to lend their artistic abilities for people on the front lines.

S.O.U.L Leadership Collective -Supports new leaders that have "lived and breathed" the inequalities of our legal, educational, and economic systems.

YMCA Miami Is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We are one of the oldest and largest women’s organizations in the nation, serving over 2 million women, girls, and their families.

Black World Guide by Miami-Dade County

This book is published by The Black Affairs Advisory Board (BAAB) falls under the Office of the Chair of the Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners (BCC) and was created to serve in an advisory capacity to the BCC on issues affecting and relevant to citizens who emanate from the African Diaspora.
