Artist’s Statement

My most resent body of work has been an on going collection of drawings and collages exploring history, mythology and folklore. With a particular interest in Haitian and Caribbean identity i use ethnographic methods to collect information for forming my own legends and folk tales .Although in line with a story telling tradition my work is nonlinear, rejects chronology, and strives for subjectivity by remaining open ended as a means to achieve universal cross cultural connections..
