Bio
Blue Curry (b.1974, Nassau, Bahamas) is an artist working primarily in sculpture and installation who uses an idiosyncratic language of commonplace objects and found materials to engage with themes of exoticism, tourism and culture. He has exhibited in the Liverpool, SITE Santa Fe and Jamaica Biennials, the Caribbean Triennial as well as in galleries and institutions such as the Nassauischer Kunstverein, P.P.O.W, The Art Museum of the Americas, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Fondation Clément, The Empire Remains Shop, Centro León, Studio Voltaire and Halle 14. He has work featured recently in the survey exhibition Relational Undercurrents: Contemporary Art of The Caribbean Archipelago at the Museum of Latin American Art and was a featured in The Sense of Movement: When Artists Travel published by Hatje Cantz. He will also be in the upcoming Visual Lives of Social Affliction touring exhibition curated by the Small Axe literary journal funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation. He lives and works in London, United Kingdom.
