ARTIST STATEMENT
I make images, collect, and tell stories that preserve and celebrate the nuances of everyday life. I utilize research to explore how the past has informed the present, and I document the contemporary moments that shape us as individuals and communities. My work focuses on Black experiences in particular, and I center the ways we work, laugh, struggle, love, protest, and create, in the spaces in which we call home. I believe there’s an infinite capacity for images and narratives that depicts the diversity and depth of our lives, and I feel honored to contribute to the continuum of storytelling that has done just that.
