ARTIST STATEMENT

“I’m an artist and educator working across technologies and crafts. My work emerges from curiosity, learning, and the intersection of my experiences as a migrant woman in the US. In my installations, I study and unpack the ideologies embedded within functional tools, language, and public spaces. Forging original and critical views of political issues in various cultural contexts, I employ inventive methods to erode cultural foundations such as geopolitical tension, racial and gender violence, and the forces that shape them.”
