ARTIST STATEMENT

Interested in artistic practice as a modeler of the thinking of the people who consume him. I think there is something in this artistic practice beyond what is already said in the streets, squares and parks, something more linked to the world of poetry, governed by its laws. This exercise of poetic beginning allows inhabiting a possible third world, spaces for empathy with the murderer, for representational gaps, this new vehicle is not necessarily pleasing to the eye and does not respond to the laws of reason. In my practice as an artist I cross disciplines linked to the scenic and costume design with visual arts. A quarter of my job consists of doing costume design for city projects, and the other part is a process split into drawing, reading, writing, and action rehearsals that determine the routes to work on, usually obsessed with the immaterial world, mythology and images of Western painting. I graduated from the Arts degree in 2016 in Guadalajara, at Hospicio Cabañas. A short-lived experimental career in the city that had a multidisciplinary teaching modality. I am an active member and co-founder of the artists' laboratory: Arrogant albino, Arrogante's practice could be considered a collage of artistic media where the body is the main theme and working tool. My latest projects include a video commissioned by Museo Cabañas, Guadalajara, Jalisco. The presentation of a video animation for the SEVENTH Gallery, Fitzroy, Australia.
